Thomas A. Boyd Graduate Scholarship in Sociology

The Thomas A. Boyd Graduate Scholarship in Sociology is available to Berea College Sociology seniors and alumni who have been accepted to or are enrolled in a graduate program for further professional development. The awards can be applied toward tuition and fees, and amounts will vary depending on the number of applicants and stated needs each year. When available, funds may also be awarded to cover other costs associated with the graduate program, such as books. Applications for scholarships are due by May 1st for each award cycle. After that date, applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis if funds remain available. Applicants are encouraged to read about Dr. Tom Boyd and his generous legacy before applying.
