Majors and Minors
Business, Economics & Quantitative Economics
The Economics and Business Department offers three majors that help students understand markets, organizations, and economic systems while developing strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Students are encouraged to speak with a faculty adviser early to explore which program best fits their interests and goals.
Business Administration (B.S.)
The Business Administration major prepares students to understand how organizations operate and make decisions in areas such as accounting, finance, marketing, management, and information systems.
Students complete a common business core and then choose a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Marketing. Optional concentrations in International Business and Management Information Systems are also available.

What can you do with a Business Administration major?
Many graduates continue their education in MBA, MPP, or law programs.

Students must complete or waive MAT 115 (College Algebra with Modeling) before admission to the major.

Economics (B.A.)
The Economics major focuses on understanding how economies function and how economic analysis can be applied to public policy and global issues.
This program is particularly well suited for students interested in policy, law, international development, or public service, and it combines easily with many other majors.
Optional concentration in Finance is also available.

Quantitative Economics (B.S)
The Quantitative Economics major emphasizes economic modeling, statistics, and econometrics to analyze economic data and answer complex economic questions.
The program is STEM-designated and prepares students for careers in analytics, finance, and economic research.
Students complete a common quantitative economics core and then choose a concentration in General, Mathematics, Finance, or Data Analysis.
